The Emerald Chamber Players is not competing with any other organization, which is another way of saying that it is filling an otherwise unaddressed need in the community. It is certainly true that people will always seek out others they share a common interest with, but the process of locating other like-minded persons is often only marginally successful and does not achieve that critical mass needed to be sustaining.
